The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has started major reconstruction work on the Master Plan Road connecting Vasant Kunj’s Sectors B-8, B-9, and B-10, as part of its infrastructure upgradation and road safety initiative. The construction of a cement-concrete road is set to continue till October 22, 2025, and traffic movement will remain restricted and diverted during this period.

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for commuters, informing that one carriageway will remain closed for vehicular movement while the other side will be open for one-way traffic only. The restrictions have been implemented to ensure smooth execution of the DDA’s project without compromising on commuter safety.

According to the advisory, vehicles heading towards Sector B-10 and B-8 will experience partial restrictions. Commuters are advised to use alternative routes via Sector C-1, Nelson Mandela Marg, and Aruna Asaf Ali Marg to avoid congestion.
Traffic personnel have been deployed at all major intersections to guide movement and minimize inconvenience.

Those traveling between Vasant Kunj and Mahipalpur, Nelson Mandela Marg, or Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road (MG Road) are urged to plan their journeys in advance to avoid delays.

Diversions and Routes to Follow

The cement-concrete road construction is part of DDA’s long-term plan to strengthen Delhi’s public infrastructure, improve road durability, and ensure better rainwater drainage in the Vasant Kunj area.
